What You'll Experience

Wild Koala Spotting

Noosa National Park has one of the densest wild koala populations in South East Queensland. Your guide knows the favourite trees — sightings happen on roughly 90% of walks. You'll also see goannas, brush turkeys, and sea eagles.

Clifftop Trails & Hell's Gates

The coastal track winds along the headland past Tea Tree Bay, Granite Bay, and out to Hell's Gates — the dramatic rocky point at the park's eastern tip with sweeping Pacific views. Your guide sets a relaxed pace with plenty of photo stops.

Fairy Pools & Hidden Coves

At low tide, the natural rock pools along the headland fill with crystal-clear water — perfect for a quick dip and a photo. Your guide checks the tide chart each morning so you arrive at the right window.

Main Beach & Hastings Street

The north-facing Main Beach is calm, patrolled, and stunning. Full-day tours include free time for a swim and lunch at your choice of Hastings Street's beachfront restaurants, cafés, and boutiques.

Guest Reviews

"We only had a morning free and the half-day walk was perfect. Saw two koalas, swam at the Fairy Pools, and were back at the hotel by lunchtime. Brilliant value."

— Naomi, Mooloolaba

"The guide timed the walk so we arrived at the Fairy Pools right at low tide — the water was crystal clear and we had the place almost to ourselves. Worth every cent."

— Tom & Hayley, Gold Coast

"We've walked this trail before on our own and missed half the koalas. Having a guide who knows every tree made all the difference. The Hell's Gates views were spectacular."

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the half-day and full-day tours?

The half-day focuses on the Noosa National Park coastal walk — you'll cover the main trail, koala spotting, Fairy Pools, and Hell's Gates, then return. The full-day adds free time on Main Beach, lunch on Hastings Street, a Noosa River visit for dolphin watching, and — on Wednesdays and Saturdays — Eumundi Markets.

Will I see koalas?

Wild koalas are spotted on approximately 90% of walks. Our guides know the resident koalas' favourite trees, but wildlife can never be guaranteed. You'll also have excellent chances of seeing goannas, brush turkeys, and dolphins from the headland.

Can I swim at the Fairy Pools?

Yes, when conditions allow. Access depends on tide and swell — your guide checks the morning's tide chart and times the walk to hit the pools at the right window. Wear shoes with grip for the rocky descent.

Is the walk suitable for children?

Yes. School-aged children manage the coastal track well, and the wildlife spotting keeps them engaged. For families with younger children, the shorter Tea Tree Bay section (2.5 km return) is a good option. Pushchairs cannot navigate the full trail.

How fit do I need to be?

The walk is rated easy to moderate. The full loop is 5.4 km on formed paths with some rocky and stepped sections. A shorter lookout-only option is available. Most reasonably active people complete the walk comfortably.

What if it rains?

Light rain often makes the rainforest section even more atmospheric. If heavy rain affects trail safety, your guide will adjust the route or extend time at sheltered alternatives. Severe weather qualifies for a date transfer or refund.

Where will I be picked up?

Door-to-door pick-up from Sunshine Coast accommodation between Caloundra and Noosa. If you're staying in Brisbane, our Noosa Day Trip from Brisbane includes return transport from the city.
