Depending on the tour and season, you may encounter koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, Tasmanian devils, platypus, echidnas, cassowaries, saltwater crocodiles, freshwater crocodiles, humpback whales, sea turtles, dugongs, and hundreds of endemic bird species. Our guides are expert trackers with a proven record for successful wildlife sightings.

Timing varies by destination. Whale watching peaks July–October at Hervey Bay. The Daintree Rainforest is ideal April–November (dry season). Kakadu is best May–September when water levels allow wetland access. Cradle Mountain wildlife is excellent year-round. Our team can advise the ideal timing for your specific wildlife interests.

Yes — most guided nature tours welcome children aged 5 and above and are specifically designed to be engaging and educational for young minds. Our guides are experienced at making ecology accessible and exciting for all ages. For younger children or families with specific wildlife goals, we recommend our private family nature tours which can be fully tailored.

Yes. We operate in accordance with Ecotourism Australia certified standards, using small groups to minimise environmental impact, partnering with conservation organisations, using reef-safe products on marine tours, and following Leave No Trace principles throughout. A portion of every booking supports Australian wildlife conservation programs.

Comfortable closed-toe walking shoes, weather-appropriate layers (the Daintree and Kakadu can be hot and humid; Tasmania alpine areas can be cool), a wide-brimmed hat, reef-safe sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and a camera with a zoom lens if you have one. Binoculars and field guides are available to borrow from us. A detailed packing list is sent with every booking confirmation.
