Day 2 TuesdayBrisbane to Gold Coast
Spend a full day exploring the wonders of Byron Bay! From beaches, to walking trails, to adorable cafes, and shops, this vibrant surf town is packed with things to do. Choose to add on a surf lesson or sea kayaking tour if you're looking for some extra adventures, or just lounge on the beach, stroll around town, and soak in the laid-back vibes.

Day 3 WednesdayHead south to Darlington Beach
After a peaceful morning in beautiful Byron Bay jump back on the bus and continue down the coastline of New South Wales. For lunch, the tour will stop in the quaint little seaside town of Yamba where you can eat, relax, and go for a swim in the freshwater Angourie Blue Pool. Once you arrive at the stunning beachfront holiday resort accommodation in Darlington Beach, you can swim, hike, bike, or try other fun activities like archery or golf.

Day 4 ThursdayCoffs Harbour & First Nations Cultural ExperienceHave a leisurely morning at the resort before heading into Coffs Harbour for lunch. Then, have the amazing opportunity to join an enlightening Aboriginal experience with local indigenous Australians. Learn about the language, traditions, stories, music, and plants of the area's Traditional Owners from the Gumbaynggirr people in the Orara East State Forest. The tour profits contribute to the local bilingual school which works to preserve the Gumbaynggirr language and culture!

Day 5 FridayJourney down to Port StephensContinue south to another stunning coastal area of New South Wales: Port Stephens! On the way, you'll get to stop at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and learn about the rehabilitation of Australia's iconic tree-dwelling marsupials. Then enjoy an interactive brewery tour and beer tasting at the top-rated Murray's Brewery before settling into your accommodation in Port Stephens.

Day 6 SaturdayExplore Port StephensToday is a free day to make the most of Port Stephens. This dynamic seaside town is full of idyllic beaches, tranquil bushwalks, golden sand dunes, and so much more. Join your tour guide for a hike up Tomaree Mountain, which provides some of the best views of the Port Stephens coastline. Or opt for an optional add-on activity such as sandboarding down the Stockton Sand Dunes or gliding along the ocean on a Dolphin Discovery Cruise. Whether you want to indulge in some fun tours or just relax by the harbour eating fresh seafood, the day is up to you!

Then drive to Sydney, check in to your accommodation, and join a fabulous group dinner in the city as a tour send-off.

This is a more upmarket backpacker trip, with some gorgeous, hand-picked accommodation. You will spend 5 nights in hotel/resort rooms and 2 nights in cabins/villas.
4 meals (3 breakfasts and 1 dinner) are included in your itinerary. The others are up to you, with ample cafe, restaurant, bar and supermarket options readily available along the way.
