The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk gives you access to a view of the forest that almost no-one ever sees — from the canopy level, 30 metres above the forest floor, on a suspended boardwalk through living ancient trees.

Sub-tropical rainforest has four distinct vertical layers. The Skywalk crosses through the third — the canopy — where most of the photosynthesis, bird life and canopy creatures live.

Small-Batch Spirits in the Rainforest

Tucked into a rainforest garden setting on Tamborine Mountain, the Distillery produces some of Queensland's most characterful small-batch spirits. The gins use locally-foraged native botanicals — lemon myrtle, finger lime, wattle seed and more — creating flavour profiles that can't be replicated anywhere else.

Your guided tasting includes 5–6 expressions: typically a classic London Dry style, a native botanical gin, one or two flavoured liqueurs (famous for their macadamia and mango expressions), and a seasonal spirit. The distiller or cellar hand walks you through each spirit's provenance and production. Bottle purchases are warmly encouraged — bring a small cooler bag.

What to Wear

Comfortable walking shoes suitable for boardwalks and light trails. Layered clothing — Tamborine Mountain is typically 5–8°C cooler than the coast even in summer. A light rain jacket is wise year-round.

Dietary Requirements

Please advise at booking. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and most allergen-specific requirements are catered for at lunch and tastings. The distillery has non-alcoholic alternatives for non-drinkers.

Buying Bottles?

Most guests purchase wine and/or spirits. Bring a small insulated cooler bag to keep bottles safe on the return journey. The distillery can organise delivery for larger purchases if needed.

Accessibility

The Rainforest Skywalk is mostly accessible on its main boardwalk. Some winery cellar doors have steps or gravel paths. Please contact us before booking to discuss specific requirements.

Weather Policy

Tours run rain or shine — all tasting rooms are indoors, the Skywalk has canopy cover and the distillery is fully covered. Mountain rain enhances the rainforest atmosphere. Severe weather that makes roads unsafe may require rescheduling.

Cancellation Policy
