The story of Cooee Tours began with a group of mates who loved the great outdoors so much, we wanted to share it with everyone. We were part of the Gold Coast Bush Walkers, spending our weekends hiking rugged trails, abseiling, camping under the stars, and exploring waterways across South East Queensland.
One night around a campfire — the sky full of stars and a couple of cold ones in hand — someone threw out an idea: "What if we could bring this feeling to everyone?" And just like that, Cooee Tours was born.
The name "Cooee" comes from the traditional Australian bush call — a long, echoing "Coooo-ee!" used to connect people across the distance. That's exactly what our tours do: connect people with nature, with Australia, and with each other.
Through the years we've stayed true to what matters most: making Queensland adventures fun, genuine, and open to everyone — young, old, and people living with disabilities.
