Your Heritage Journey โ€” 4 Iconic Estates

Four venues, centuries of history, unforgettable wines in the heart of the Scenic Rim Wine Region

๐Ÿ›๏ธ
Stop 1 โ€” Tamborine

Albert River Wines

Home to Three Queensland Premiers

Experience colonial elegance at Albert River Wines (869 Mundoolun Connection Rd, Tamborine). This heritage-listed estate is where three Queensland Premiers once resided โ€” and your wine tasting takes place in what was the famous Auchenflower House billiard room. Marvel at the sweeping drive, the colonnaded veranda, and undulating hills covered in vines. Verdelho, Chambourcin, and classic reds are among the tasting highlights.

๐ŸŒฟ
Stop 2 โ€” Canungra

Sarabah Estate Vineyard

Gold Coast Hinterland's Hidden Gem

Tucked away along Lamington National Park Road near Canungra, Sarabah Estate Vineyard is a family-owned estate that most visitors never discover. Nestled in a valley bordering Lamington National Park, this intimate boutique vineyard offers outstanding cellar door tastings and wood-fired pizza at the Chalet Bistro. Sarabah's setting โ€” surrounded by pristine hinterland โ€” is genuinely spectacular.

๐Ÿฆ™
Stop 3 โ€” Canungra Creek

O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards

163-Year-Old 'Killowen' Homestead

Step into Queensland's O'Reilly heritage at O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards (852 Lamington National Park Rd). The historic 'Killowen' homestead sits on extensive grounds along the beautiful Canungra Creek. Walk through the 15-acre property and meet the friendly alpacas of the on-site Mountview Alpaca Farm โ€” you can feed and walk them through the vineyard. Wine varieties include Shiraz, Verdelho, and refreshing whites.

๐Ÿท
Stop 4 โ€” Mt Nathan

Mt Nathan Winery

Pioneer of 1970s Winemaking Innovation

The Gibson family first migrated to Australia in the 1850s with a deep passion for winemaking. George Gibson founded Central Coast Winery Pty Ltd in the 1970s alongside his son Peter. Together they pioneered both traditional grape varieties and innovative fruit, vegetable, and honey wines โ€” a unique Gold Coast Hinterland experience. Today Mt Nathan remains one of the most distinctive boutique wineries in Southeast Queensland.
